About the Red Cross School of Nursing

The Red Cross School of Nursing of Seville was established in 1946. It was the first professional school of nursing in Southern Spain. Since 1977 is attached to the University of Seville.

The School training is guided by the principles and values of the Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. The School develops highly qualified nurses, with a strong emphasis on scientific, ethical and humanistic aspects. Therefore, students acquire the necessary skills to deliver a holistic care for the population.

Since 60 years, Red Cross School of Nursing of Seville graduates stand out for their solid theoretical and practical training, due to our teaching staff and a methodology focused on the student.

Theoretical training encourages active learning, critical thinking, research skills, independent learning and teamwork. Practical training promotes reflective practice with medical simulators and includes clinical placements where students are integrated in nursing working teams of our multiple training hospitals. Through this dual approach our graduates respond to care needs of society.

The Red Cross School of Nursing of Seville openly welcomes all international students wishing to study with us. We are keen on international exchanges and multiculturalism.

We have an exchange agreement with the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems University College Dublin and Haute Ecole Galilée (Institue Supérieur de Soins Infirmiers) Bruselas under the Erasmus program. We agree to host a maximun of two students per academic year, in clinical practice settings, for a four months period. We could also host a lecturer per academic year.
